Medication Safety
Returning your Medications Safely
When was the last time you cleaned out your medicine cabinet? If you look hard enough, you may find expired or unused medications. These could include tablets purchased for prevention of illness during travel, unused pain medications, leftover cough syrup, or outdated birth control pills. Do not flush, pour down the sink or throw any of your medications in the garbage. Taking any of these actions can put you, your community and the environment at risk. Instead, visit one of our nearest pharmacy locations and let us dispose of them safely on your behalf.
Injections and Needles
If your medication requires self-injection, your pharmacist can show you the right technique.
Walsh's Pharmacy customers can also bring back their sharp bins to our pharmacy for safe disposal, and get a new one, free of charge.
